Portraits with Leigh Bardugo

I recently had the pleasure of working with Leigh Bardugo. Leigh is a successful New York Times Best Selling novelist of the fantasy genre. She and her agent were in need of new portraits for her new book series and International tour. So we took our time to storyboard and kept her shoot close to her brand and personality.

We started in her home and then ventured out, to the Los Angeles Arboretum. Our shoot included one fabulous makeup artist and Hairstylist (Tracey Taylor), 3 costume changes, 2 strobes, permits for the park (of course) and the best assistant ever, my husband Joe. Leigh was/is an absolute professional and a complete natural in front of the camera. The shoot moved forward effortlessly and we ended with a plethora of images that could be used for her marketing and promotional needs.

Leigh is the author of several books. She is best known for her Shadow and Bone Trilogy, the Six of Crows Duology, The Language of Thorns, and King of Scars. Other well-known works include Wonder Woman: Warbringer and the forthcoming Ninth House. Born in Jerusalem but a Southern Californian through and through, Leigh now writes and resides in Los Angeles.
